In an effort to improve security, Pair Networks will soon begin requiring SSL for mail access on all accounts. If you do not currently use SSL or TLS to access your Pair Networks email, then you will need to reconfigure your mail client.
If you use only Pair Networks WebMail to access your Email, then no changes are necessary.
It is important that you make these changes *before* your scheduled upgrade or you will experience an interruption of your email service. Changes can be made at any time between now and your scheduled upgrade.
You will need to provide encryption settings to your mail reader. The specific settings used will depend on your desired mail reader configuration. Below are some common configurations.
We generally suggest using IMAP if your mail reader supports it. IMAP keeps your mail on the mail server, which is often preferable if you are going to access your mailboxes from multiple devices or mail readers. IMAP is also more modern and efficient. Unless you are using an older mail client that does not support IMAP or wish to retrieve your mail for offline reading, IMAP is recommended.
